Because this business involves both sales and service, we recommend that someone in the franchise be available to handle each of these functions. Our dealers are “hands on” and active in their businesses. We are looking for franchisees who wish to own and operate their own business. As selling and prospecting are integral parts of this business, franchisees should be ready to use the phone, hit the streets and network to find leads.

Our Town America is the nation’s premier New Mover Direct Mail Marketing franchise. With 43 years of experience, we know how to welcome new movers and we know how to help our local business sponsors gain new loyal and long-term customers from this valuable audience. The program has evolved through the years to a successful business with franchisees in over 40 markets across the country.

How does a franchise owner reach success?

Our Town America specializes in welcoming new movers to their new community with a housewarming gift and proven offers from local businesses. Our franchisees reach out to the businesses in their areas to introduce them to this key searching audience. Using our proven direct mail system with the feedback and social plug-ins, these businesses in turn create new loyal and long-term customers.

Why new movers?

40 million Americans change their residence every year and many experience a sense of loss when they leave their old homes. According to the Epsilon 2015 New Mover Report, last year each household that moved spent an average of $9,000 related to their move. Research indicates that there is a market for services that make that transition easier. Our Town America helps with this transition by producing and delivering welcome packages that are gladly received by individuals who are seeking out goods and services, and by participating local businesses that are looking to increase their customer base.

What kind of field support is offered?

We have a Franchise Development Team that will work with you on sales and technical issues.

What kind of training do you offer?

Initial training takes place at Our Town America’s corporate headquarters with our Franchise Development Team. Training lasts 5 days. Instruction includes:

  • Administrative
  • Operations
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Software/Hardware

The second phase is up to an additional 5 days in the field at your location with our experienced trainer.

Can I do this part time?

No. We are looking for franchisees that wish to make this their primary business.

Is there additional sales training?

Yes, we offer Regional Training throughout the year and have conventions that foster learning and teaming. Additionally, our Franchise Development Team will be available for sales coaching.

What is the cost of a territory?

Each territory requires an investment of $47,500. Multiple territories may be purchased at the discretion of the franchisor, and at a discounted rate for second territory.

How long is the term of the franchise?

The initial term is 10 years. Additional terms of 10 years may be granted at the discretion of both parties.

Can anyone else sell in my territory?

We offer exclusive rights to selling within your territory, though others will sell into your territory (you will receive a $ benefit). Corporate receives the right to call on key and national clients in any area.

How big is a territory?

A territory will be comprised of approximately 2,500 new movers per month. The numbers of zip codes necessary to accommodate this will vary by area.

Is it turnkey?

Yes. Our franchisees sell, service and manage their business. We take care of graphics, production, printing, insertion, mailing, list acquisition, survey dissemination, development of respondent lists and much more. Our headquarters is fully equipped to allow you to sell and service.
